In a panic, the disciples roused Jesus and shouted, "Master!,  don't you care that we're drowning?  (Mark 4:38)   The storm didn't seem to bother Jesus at all.  He had already declared what He planned would happen on this trip - He'd said,  "let's go to the other side and that's what He meant. He foresaw the outcome, and He didn't waver because of the circumstances. He didn't panic; the storm was meaningless to Him. Spend more of your time thinking about His words and your goals and less time worrying about the storm(s) in your life . When the disciples woke Jesus,  He simply got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? I feel really connected to this chapter; it feels like a love note from Christ written specifically for me. Below is a highlight of what the chapter means to me; Here you go... (Psalm 23; New International Version) The LORD Is My Shepherd, I Lack Nothing This reminds me of how much I need God’s direction and not have to carry the weight of the world on my head by relinquishing all authorities (my anxieties, weaknesses, burdens, fears) to Him because He is my shepherd. If we can be a bit imaginative and visualise how these herdsmen lead their sheep/cow and direct their paths, leading them into fertile land so they could feed on and making sure no harm befalls them and all their needs are catered for. And if they separate from their shepherd they might get hit by a moving vehicle or slaughtered by a thief. This is probably one of the most self explanatory post (or maybe not)  I've posted so far. I just have this strong feeling that someone might come across it and feel strengthen. I have this friend that I was all inspirational with ( forming motivational speaker) # lol , and he started laughing profusely, okay... my initial thoughts were maybe He is trying to hold the tears back ( as per what I'm saying  got to him,  lol !, I think so highly of myself sometimes )( but on a second thought though, I actually do laugh uncontrollably when I try to fight the tears), then he was like “Ko! We’re so attached to the identities, relationships and dreams that has brought us this far. The idea just like a cocoon; when the butterfly emerges, the cocoon has served its purpose; it doesn’t mean it falls “it means it has served its purpose”. Our dreams, our ambition, our relationships, our identities are often cocoons that leads us to the next and we get so understandably attached that we get in conflict when it breaks or falls away that we don’t see what it has opened us to.
